Save draft feature: Come back to your listing and work on it later.
Track listing process: See all of your submitted and listed events in your Event Dashboard, as well as their status in Interintellect’s editorial review process.
Stripe Connect integration: Track your ticket revenue directly on your Event Dashboard.
Send email blasts to your attendees directly from your Event Dashboard.
New features for attendees:
Receive the Zoom link to your online events right after ticket purchase.
Improved automated reminders leading up to your registered events.
Link on event pages and automated reminders to add events to your Google Calendar.
See all of your upcoming and past events in your dashboard.
Manage your membership directly from your dashboard.
After today’s launch and bug fixes, we will move on to the many other features you requested!
2024 was an adventurous year…
In 2024, we developed and in-house tested our online/offline interactivity tools to ensure everyone everywhere has access to the highest quality, most welcoming, and most intellectually interesting conversations in the world.
How ideas originate and spread and how people discover them has forever changed, and we want to be the main engine of discovery as people grow their knowledge and become who they want to be.
In January we kicked 2024 off with a big Valentine’s Day summit in new York City featuring Esther Perel, Merve Emre, Agnes Callard, and Skye Cleary.
In April, I organized a one-day festival about the future of publishing featuring Coleman Hughes, Sahil Lavingia, Kyla Scanlon, Eugene Wei, Bria Sandford, Shadi Hamid, Tamara Winter, Seth Stephens-Davidowitz, Eric Jorgenson, and many others. We rented out a mansion on Fifth Avenue and set up 2 stages to compete with one another as if it was a music festival... A great event! Thanks to Infinite Books for being our partners.
Throughout the year, we worked day and night on boosting the number of online salons and series on our platform focusing on the increasingly popular US timezones (we went from 50% USA to 88% USA between 2022 and 2024) and developing the creators using our platform. We created the new role of Producer and Host Mentor; DC and Austin based Gina Hafez has been excelling in it — you can hear from Gina through this newsletter regularly. See some of the online highlights from 2024 (Nellie Bowles, Jim O’Shaughnessy, Anastasia Berg and Rachel Weisman, Oliver Traldi, Regan Arntz-Gay, Anil Seth and Erik Hoel, Kat Rosenfield, Eli Dourado, A. We now have strong presence in even more cities. Check out this excellent convo about Simone de Beauvoir with the philosopher Kate Kirkpatrick in London. This Washington DC discussion with the philosopher Rebecca Lowe about the value of freedom… In Austin, we just hosted Byrne Hobart to talk about financial markets and innovation. Apart from our regular community gatherings around the world, we are building 3 major in-person summits for the first half of 2025 - Miami, NYC, and DC. More on these soon!
In October, I opened our Q4 with the The Ideas of Power event in Manhattan — I developed a whole new event format, something even more competitive: it worked very well! — featuring John Ganz, Tara Isabella Burton, Musa al-Gharbi, Scott Barry Kaufman, Julia Sonnevend, Jennifer Frey, and others.
Throughout 2024, I continued my Weekend Reading Digest on this Substack, which to my constant surprise is read by some of the my favorite journalists, publishers, and businesspeople in the US and the UK. Thank you!
In July, I also started a personal podcast called The Hope Axis, and have had many Interintellect-adjacent people on as guests, and some of my guests later became Interintellect-adjacent: Phil Klay, Noah Smith, Claire Lehmann, Michael Roth, Dwarkesh Patel, Default Friend, just to name a few. Watch out for the next episodes coming soon!
I am also working on an essay series / book project — have been for many months, maybe years, now. You can stay up to date via my Substack about when this launches! I know I’m being slow with this, but please bear with me.
